Agility is one of the fastest-growing dog sports in the country—and for good reason. It’s incredible exercise for both you and your dog, and it forges an even deeper relationship between you. Plus, it’s exhilarating to watch as your dog nimbly and quickly crawls through tunnels, weaves around poles, and leaps through tires!
Andy will be offering multiple levels of Agility from Beginner to Competition
Introduction to Dog Agility 1
Jumps and Tunnels and a Table
In our entry-level class, we'll give you and your dog a sampling of the exciting world of agility competition. In this series of classes dogs will learn how to perform a variety of jumps, tunnels and an agility table as well as how to take directions from their humans. Humans will learn about some of the major aspects of dog agility, how to help their dog learn the agility obstacles and how to guide their dog through a series of those obstacles. Some other essential skills for agility - come when called, sit, stay, go around things, human and dog body awareness, - will also be covered. (Also, humans will learn how you can train your dog at home with common household items.) The bond between you and your dog will grow deeper as you learn these basics together.

Lines and Leads (handling skills and course analysis)
Tuesday class – open to all levels if some prior training)
What You Should Consider About “Leads” in Agility .
To effectively navigate an agility course, it is important for a dog to be well-trained in executing the obstacles and responding to the handler’s cues. Moreover, the clarity and timing of these directions can greatly enhance the dog's performance. Handlers benefit from various factors when developing their handling plans, and one important consideration is understanding the lead the dog will be on at each stage of the course. Handlers who possess a deep understanding of leads often find themselves at an advantage compared to those who may not be as familiar with this concept.
