Meet our Founder
Anke King, CNWI™ ACSA-KA, combines over 30 years of hands-on training, program leadership, and competition experience with a deliberate, whole-being approach to canine care. She integrates physical conditioning, behavior science, and emotional wellness to create programs that improve performance, reduce problem behavior, and strengthen the bond between dogs and their people.
Anke’s background spans competitive performance, facility management, instruction, and event evaluation. She has competed at national and invitational agility trials and at the World Championship in Slovenia. From 2006 to 2024 she led the daycare program at Waggin’ Tails Junction, where she built daily routines, safety protocols, and enrichment plans that supported physical health and social development for dozens of dogs and gave families confidence in their care.
Anke maintains a broad, advanced credential set that supports evidence-informed training and assessment. Key certifications include Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI), ACSA-KA Advanced Behavior Modification Certificate, Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach (CCFC), AKC Fit Dog Trainer Levels 1–3, Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI), Certified Animal Actor Evaluator (AACE), and AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She is a certified judge and evaluator for AKC Scent Work, Farm Dog, Fetch, Temperament, and Agility Course Test events.
Anke’s methodology blends measurable, science-based techniques with practical conditioning and enrichment. She assesses each dog across three domains: physical fitness, behavior and learning, and emotional wellbeing. From assessment she develops stepwise plans that may include conditioning protocols, scent-work progressions, behavior modification with clear metrics, and handler education focused on skill transfer and safety. Her programs emphasize humane, replicable techniques suited to both competition and everyday life.
Anke’s priority is measurable, sustainable improvement that respects each dog as an individual. Her work is defined by compassion, vigilance, and a commitment to whole-being care. Whether preparing a dog for competition, rehabilitating reactive behavior, or guiding a new owner, her goal remains the same: empower dogs and their humans to thrive together through clear instruction, thoughtful programming, and accountable results.
