Meet our Founder

Anke King, CNWI™, ACSA-KA brings over three decades of hands-on experience and a deeply holistic philosophy to the art and science of living with dogs. Her multifaceted approach integrates physical conditioning, behavioral science, and emotional well-being—shaped by a lifetime of training dogs in conformation, obedience, herding, agility, protection, and K9 Nose Work®.

Anke’s journey with dogs has earned national and international recognition. She has competed at elite levels, including national and invitational agility trials and the World Championship in Slovenia. From 2006 to 2024, she managed the daycare program at Waggin’ Tails Junction, where her leadership fostered a safe, enriching environment for dogs and their families.

As a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW), Anke also serves as a judge at AKC Scent Work events.  Her commitment to canine wellness and education is reflected in a wide array of certifications:

  • ACSA-KA Advanced Behavior Modification Certificate

  • Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach (CCFC)

  • AKC Fit Dog Trainer (Levels 1, 2, and 3)

  • Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI)

  • Certified Animal Actor Evaluator (AACE)

  • AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Evaluator

In addition to training and instruction, Anke is certified to judge and evaluate:

  • AKC Scent Work Events

  • Farm Dog Tests

  • Fetch Tests

  • Temperament Tests

  • AKC ACT (Agility Course Test) Events

Anke’s work is grounded in compassion, vigilance, and a belief in whole-being care. Whether she’s guiding a dog through a scent detection course or mentoring a student in behavior modification, her goal is always the same: to empower dogs and their humans to thrive—together.
